Holistic market and potential analysis of autonomous long-distance freight transport (autonomous trucking) for a leading German insurer
The focus of the project was the question: How and when will autonomous trucking influence our industry? Initially, we carried out a deep dive into possible market constellations in the EU and US as well as conceivable processes in autonomous logistics to establish a deep understanding with the customer of how autonomous logistics traffic could work in the future and to evaluate these together. We also went 'on the ground' several times and holistically evaluated development projects in Arizona and Germany and developed realistic timelines for market readiness.
In a further step, we identified the insurance-specific risks and opportunities. In doing so, we developed conclusions and recommendations for action based on today's insurance and claims logic in the logistics sector. The Group still benefits from the richness and depth of our analyses and is currently developing the fourth concrete strategic initiative on this basis.
